Here is our story.
Windever Kennel is a
family run kennel. We are focused on providing high-quality, healthy, home raised puppies that will make good tempered, sweet natured pets. All of our dogs are our our pets and we do this because we love them, every one.
As
members of the Canadian Kennel Club, American Kennel Club, Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario and the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Canada, we abide by their code of ethics and will do everything to ensure that our puppies and their new owners have the support they need for the life of the puppy.
Our first breed is the incredibly lovable and beautiful Bernese Mountain dog. Starting with 2 females from Sandylane kennels, we have since grown and have now had 8 lovely Bernese litters. We also have a beautiful AKC/CKC reg'd stud who is available for registered & approved females. All of the Bernese in our breeding program have OVC certified hips and elbows.
We also breed
wirehaired dachshunds.
We have an AKC champion standard wire-haired bitch (RJ) and her boyfriend (Oz) who also comes from a long line of champions that have started our breeding program. We now have one of their daughters to further the legacy (Tigger). RJ has now given us 3 beautiful litters with Tigger giving us 2 of her own.
We live on 45 beautiful acres in farm country just outside of Port Rowan, where we also keep horses, siamese cats and our egg laying chickens. It's our little slice of heaven and we are very proud of it.
