Windever!

Mini Longhair Dachshunds

Our August litters were bigger than expected!
But they're almost old enough to go home now & all pups are spoken for.
Our next litter will be arriving late October and be available for their new
families around Christmas.
Please contact us with some info about yourselves if you are interested in being considered for one of our puppies.

Here is our story

Established in 2009, Windever Kennel is a family run kennel.

We are focused on providing high-quality, healthy, home raised puppies that will make good tempered, sweet natured and beautiful companions.

All of our dogs are our pets and we do this because we love them, every one.

We are very grateful to each of our dogs and to be able to make our living bringing joy to the families we get to meet.

Our dogs do not live in kennels, they are family to us here.

As members of the Canadian Kennel Club as well as the American Kennel Club we abide by their code

of ethics and will do everything to ensure that our pups and their new owners have the support

they need for the life of the puppy.

All of our pups go home with a lifetime, no question, take-back guarantee.

We never, ever want one of our dogs to need rescuing!

We live on 45 beautiful acres in farm country just outside of Port Rowan and Long Point,

where we also keep horses, cats, goats and our egg laying chickens.

It's our little slice of heaven and we really do cherish it.

This is the kennel where the puppies spend their last couple of weeks running around and learning to housetrain outdoors.

No adults dogs actually live in here.

(Though Ron keeps threatening to move in because it's FAR more peaceful than our house is!)

It all began with the beautiful Bernese Mountain dog.

Starting with 2 females from Sandylane kennel, we grew and once had 8 wonderful Bernese.

In 2023 we retired our last bernese.

We are now best known for

Longhair Mini Dachshunds

(We do not raise smooth hairs)

And in 2023 we joined forces with newly created MudCreek kennel to be able to raise enough dachshunds while still maintaining the home raised care we've always been so proud to be able to offer.
